John-Morgan Bush is a concert horn artist, soloist, and chamber musician based in New York. A recipient of the John Clarke Award for Excellence in Brass Performance, he received second prize in the 2008 International Horn Society Solo Competition. His performance work centers on solo and chamber repertoire, alongside appearances with orchestras and ensembles across the United States.

Bush holds degrees in music performance and music education from the University of Kentucky, where he studied with David G. Elliott, and a master’s degree in classical horn performance from the Manhattan School of Music, where his teachers included R. Allen Spanjer and Mark Gould. His early teachers include Sue Jent, Alan Emerson, and John Dressler.

Alongside his work as a performer, Bush serves as Dean of Juilliard Extension at The Juilliard School and teaches at Mannes School of Music at The New School. His career spans performance, teaching, and arts leadership, with an interest in creating new contexts for classical music and expanding its reach to new audiences.

Bush continues to pursue an active performance career with a focus on solo appearances, chamber music, and collaborations that place the horn at the center of distinctive repertoire and artistic projects.
