Justin Vance
Justin Vance is a New York City-based woodwind artist known for his versatility across multiple instruments and genres. He makes his solo debut with The Chelsea Symphony performing the newly orchestrated version of Alyssa Morris’s 27-72 for oboe and chamber orchestra - a commission he and the orchestra spearheaded, marking the world premiere of this orchestration.
An in-demand performer, Justin has played in over 50 Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, serving as chairholder for Company, Bad Cinderella, and The Notebook on Broadway, as well as Kid Victory, The Beast in the Jungle, and Cats: The Jellicle Ball Off-Broadway. He has also been a regular member of the Christmas Spectacular orchestra at Radio City Music Hall for over a decade. In addition to his work in theatre, Justin is an active orchestral musician, having performed with Ensemble Échappé, the New York Chamber Players, The Chelsea Symphony, and the American Modern Ensemble. His recording credits include numerous cast albums, chamber music recordings, singer albums, and film scores.
A two-time collegiate concerto competition winner, Justin has performed as a soloist on both saxophone and oboe. He holds a Master of Music degree in Multiple Woodwinds from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) and a Bachelor of Music in Saxophone Performance from Baylor University.
Beyond performing, Justin is passionate about expanding the woodwind repertoire and collaborating on new works. He is thrilled to bring 27-72 to life in its newly orchestrated form with The Chelsea Symphony.
