Morgan Fite

Trombone

Morgan Fite joined the Chelsea Symphony in the spring of 2017, a concert he remembers fondly as the first time he got to play Star Wars in an orchestra. He is a member of Hint of Lime Brass, along with Sarah Ford (2nd Horn Colorado Springs Philharmonic) and Nicole Gilloti (Trumpet Professor Texas A&M International).

Before the pandemic, Morgan was a freelancer in New York City, performing with various groups. While there, he and his colleague Kevin Barnes founded the brass quintet subtle cheetah, which participated in the Orchestra of St. Luke’s Mentorship Program from 2018-2019.

Morgan graduated from the Manhattan School of Music’s orchestral performance program, where he was the recipient of the Charles Grossman Memorial Scholarship for excellence in orchestral performance. His principal teachers include John D. Rojak, George Curran, Nick Schwartz, and Paul Pollard. Outside of music, Morgan is a graduate of the Magnet Theater’s sketch writing program and has had his sketches performed around New York as well as online via Twitch. He also enjoys Magic the Gathering, Pokemon, Digimon, and Dungeons & Dragons.
