Tyler Hefferon is a New York City percussionist who regularly performs with a variety of ensembles including the Chelsea Symphony, Protestra, Brooklyn String Orchestra, New Amsterdam Symphony, Regina Opera, and City Lyric Opera. He studied percussion at The Boston Conservatory and Temple University. His teachers include Chris Deviney, John Grimes, Keith Aleo, Bill Wozniak, Phil O'Banion, Nancy Zeltsman, Alan Abel, Joe Tompkins, and David Rosenblatt. When he isn't playing percussion, Tyler is an avid nonprofit accountant and operations consultant, serving on the board for two organizations addressing a wide variety of socioeconomic issues impacting New York City and beyond. He is the founder of BlackBooks Consulting, a financial consulting firm that supports over one dozen charity organizations between Chicago and Kenya by specializing in implementing systems for nonprofit organizations experiencing exponential growth.
